    WHEEZY!!! I found out at the farmer's market last week that you CAN go to the top of the capitol building and walk around the rotunda but the outside is closed currently because of construction. At SOME point in time, we'll be able to go on the top.

    Such a small world. I randomly came across your 30,000 steps a day video and while watching it saw you mention Blame Society, I was the Dog Trainer and animal handler for one of the Chad Vader episodes. I thought I wonder if this funny and interesting guy lives in the same city I do? When you were walking to meet with them I saw the restaurant in the background and thought - huh…We actually probably live really close to each other! I’m enjoying your Contant and if your family ever needs help with your dog you now know a local certified trainer who lives near you 😊

    A large problem is 1 month is a very short timeframe when discussing bodily change. Even basic acclimation to exercise for the body is around 3 months. This is how long it takes to get used to an external stress. For short terms like 1 month, this is where you see a lot of HIIT and aggressive calorie cut dieting are king. They make extreme use of this short duration. But if you're not doing extreme stuff in that short duration, you're not really going to see significant change. Change always happens, but the amount of change will scale by intensity. And even high intensity might not show significant results for quite a while, and months.

    Be careful with beans, they have a lot of carbs, so test them: test your blood glucose, eat some beans, then after 1-2 hours, check again. If you got a spike, avoid them.

    You mention pancakes but also terrible for you is cereal, including granola. Nobody should eat cereal for breakfast, or at any other time. I like cereal so when i was diagnosed with T2D, i researched every cereal that i could possibly get in the store or by Amazon, etc. There are no good cereals. You can find keto granola, but it's just seeds and some nuts, it's expensive and awful. Ceriously, no more cereal.

    I laughed when he said you could easily lie about this but you don’t. Someone I know is doing a step challenge at work and she’s annoyed because she is convinced one of her coworkers is lying about how many steps she gets. She has been claiming over 40k a day. When someone asked how she does it, she said mostly going to the soccer field after work and playing with her kids for a few hours. 😂 Pretty sure that is proof she has no idea what it actually takes to walk that many steps.

    Oh! So this is why everything is so sweet! I was not allowed to have sugary drinks or snacks (including candy) when I was younger. As an adult, I have always thought sweets and specific fruits/vegetables are SO SWEET! One bite is more than enough for me, and even that bite is just such an overwhelming sweet taste. I always wondered why people always thought I was exaggerating, and I always wonder how people can finish a whole cookie (it literally tastes like eating spoonfuls of sugar).

    The problem with the benefits of healthy behaviour is that, unless you're starting from a completely unhealthy lifestyle, you don't notice the benefits, only the detriment after years if you don't maintain them. Use it or lose it, kids.

    I did a step challenge that maxed out at 30,000 steps. Even while running 15 miles a week and going for fast walks multiple times everyday, I never hit the 30,000 until I did a 10+ mile hike. That is to say, 30,000 steps while working full time, you really won’t have the time without a treadmill desk.

    Whenever I turn into a sedentary pig, I start walking at least 10k steps per day and within days it cures my depression, lack of motivation, stomach issues, brain fog, random body pains etc. I guess if you are already active and don't spend your whole day in from of computers, you won't see huge results. I would have loved to see your blood pressure improvements because high blood pressure often does not give you any symptoms until it's too late.

    • @svenmify
      @svenmify 6 часов назад

      Wish that worked for me too. I live a pretty sedentary lifestyle (computer programmer) but whenever I try to fix it wit things like walking, that just starts taking all my attention and energy. My new resolution is at least 30 min of inline skating per day since it’s the only form of exercise that I enjoy. But it turns into 1-2h per day in several sessions with a ton of time in between them spent catching my breath again. And those 1-2h take up a large chunk of my day. And I don’t feel better or more energized, and my sleep is worse - but I’m sticking to it because I kinda have to exercise, and I hope eventually it’ll start feeling like a positive thing.

    It's criminal how they're adding more and more sugar to food. They are even hybridizing grapes and corn to be sweeter. People are losing limbs, damaging organs and dying from obesity and diabetes. Every time you shop for groceries, your dollar is a vote for healthy or unhealthy food.

    Supposedly the taste testers that corporations use are the ones responsible for the amount of sugar and salt. They always choose it. I want to know what things are being compared?
